Chilpo Beach

I loved this beach. It’s great for swimming. They have a rest area with tents they rent for KRW50,000 and chairs with umbrellas for KRW30,000. You can set up your tent also for no cost. They have a food area with many options (korean food) and showers for KRW2,000. Very family friendly!!!

Good but a little dirty

I went to enjoy a day at the beach with my family. It was also my first visit to Pohang. There are not many convenience facilities such as shops or restaurants around the beach, but it is a place where you can enjoy it without any problems if you prepare well in advance. I rented it for 50,000 won and used it well all day. Cooking is possible. The parasol table in front of the table costs 25,000 won, but it is good for 2-4 people without much luggage. If you rent a tube, inflating the tube is also available as a service. Life jackets were also lent to the children as a service, which was a good memory. The sandy beach was quite soft and the water was a bit cold. The sea depth was gentle and the waves were strong, so I had fun enjoying the sea with my children. It was a great beach to go to as a family.

Not only the sea but also the beach hiking course on the left has great scenery. The parking lot is spacious and there are restrooms on the beach. However, most clogs are caused by washing sand in the bathroom sink.
