I stayed at the beach during the central period of August, and it was an experience I would rather forget. The staff, with a few exceptions, lacked experience and professionalism. The room had recurring issues such as a leaking air conditioner, clogged drains, and disposable glasses that were either used or not replaced. The staff showed little interest in resolving these problems. The room cleaning was acceptable, but the balcony table and chairs were never cleaned. The food was of poor quality and poorly cooked. It was even worse than what you would find in old company canteens. The hotel was located right on the beach, but the road leading to it was sandy and gravelly, causing fine dust to settle on everything, including our belongings and even our lungs, whenever a car or other vehicle passed by. The exteriors were poorly maintained, with dry plants and weeds in pots. The beach itself was very small, with limited individual spaces, and it was dirty. The lifeguard seemed more interested in using his cell phone than actually monitoring the beach until closing time at 7:00 p.m. Overall, the staff seemed more focused on making money rather than ensuring the well-being of the customers. They would easily replace a dissatisfied customer like me with 100 unaware individuals who would gladly book again next year. However, this review will not be the only action I take. I plan to send a more detailed email to the hotel expressing my dissatisfaction in stronger terms. I will also send a complaint to the Tourism Department of the Puglia Region, questioning the criteria used to assign stars to this establishment. Additionally, I will contact the Municipality of Torre Lapillo to inquire about the cleanliness and lack of lighting on the roads within its territory, despite their popularity. Although these actions may not bring about immediate change, at least I will have expressed my anger towards those who ruined my summer vacation. I strongly advise avoiding this place, and I sincerely hope they never reopen again.
