We spent our last night here on a mooring before returning our rented catamaran to Airlie the next morning. The trip back is easy, so there's no need to rush.
The beach itself is quite nice, although there are some spots with sharp crushed coral. The camping area and tables are well-maintained, and there's a decent toilet as well. It's definitely a good place to stay. There are a few pawpaw and, I believe, mango trees in the gully up from the beach, which is interesting.
There's a walking track up the hill that can also be used by mountain bikes, and it's definitely worth the hike—a bike would have been useful. These tracks cover the entire island, leading to distant lookouts and, of course, the eerie 'Abandoned' South Molle resort.
