Gamat beach is an incredible snorkeling destination with crystal clear waters, vibrant coral reefs, and a plethora of colorful fish species. If you happen to travel by motorbike, follow the sign pointing towards Gamat beach after riding past the Google location for approximately 50 meters. Once you see a narrow dirt road, park your motorbike to the side and walk for 10 minutes down to the beach. The best time to visit is during low tide, as it can be a bit challenging to access the beach at high tide.
For an unforgettable snorkeling experience, swim away from the beach and explore the coral reefs on the left side of the beach. However, be cautious not to venture too far beyond the snorkeling boats. The current can be a bit strong, so it's not recommended for weak swimmers. If you prefer to go on a snorkeling tour, all skill levels are welcome to enjoy the stunning underwater world of Gamat beach.
While most visitors opt for boat tours, you can have a unique experience by taking the scenic route. We arrived at the beach early in the morning and didn't encounter anyone else who took the same path. Best of all, there is no parking fee, so you can enjoy the beauty of Gamat beach without worrying about your wallet.
