The beach was a pleasant surprise, much better than the tourist traps of Kuta and Jimbaran. It had a decent level of cleanliness, though the seaweed situation was a bit overwhelming. We stayed in the charming and peaceful Level section of Melia Bali, which was a nice break from the hustle and bustle of the city. While there were plenty of water sports available, the constant barrage of third-party operators trying to sell us their services was a bit of a nuisance. We repeatedly declined, preferring to stick with the resort's offerings for safety reasons. The souvenir hawkers were also a constant presence, making it difficult to fully relax and enjoy the tranquility of the beach. Although I understand the importance of supporting local businesses, it can be too much for those seeking a peaceful escape. I was surprised that the resort allowed them to enter the premises, but perhaps it's all part of the experience.

The beach is absolutely stunning with crystal clear waters, and if you venture a bit deeper, you may spot some algae. There are water sports available nearby, but you may have to negotiate a bit to get the best deals. The sunrise here is simply breathtaking, making it a great spot to start your day.

We took a taxi from downtown and were delighted by the tranquil atmosphere that awaited us.
