Puri Beach

It is often mentioned that Puri holds a special place in the hearts of Bengalis. This charming destination is ideal for unwinding with a good book and soaking up the sunshine. Known as a top choice for pilgrims, Puri attracts visitors from far and wide to admire the majestic Lord Jagannath and marvel at the stunning temple architecture.

Formerly a paradise, Puri beach has unfortunately transformed into a disordered, unclean shoreline at the base of the Bay of Bengal. This beach has always been our preferred destination. However, due to the increasing number of visitors and the lack of attention to cleanliness, the beach is now littered with plastic waste, trash, and numerous vendors. Despite these drawbacks, the beach retains its charm during the enchanting moments of sunrise and sunset. The coastline stretches out extensively with its shimmering golden sand and gentle to moderately large waves. Additionally, there are lifeguards stationed nearby to assist anyone in need of help.

The expansive shoreline is littered with debris and lacks any water-based recreational options. It is inadequately cared for and becomes dim once night falls. Nevertheless, the beach is suitable for swimming and camel excursions. The roads and pathways with a view of the ocean are congested, uneven, and in poor shape. There are no facilities for tourists at the beach.

It's an ideal location for leisurely strolls, savoring beachfront food vendors, and witnessing stunning sunsets. The beach can become somewhat congested during peak periods, but the enthusiasm is contagious. A must-see destination for beach enthusiasts! You will have a great time here amidst crystal clear waters, large waves, and a bustling beach at all times. Puri beach is also among the safest and most picturesque beaches in India. Camel rides are also on offer here, while sand art is another appealing aspect of the beach. Therefore, spending quality time and taking a dip in the sea is a delightful experience.
