Giagana beach

This beach is truly remarkable with its pristine, crystal-clear waters. The water may appear slightly hazy, but this is due to the invigorating cold water streams that flow from the nearby mountains and rocks. In contrast to the warmer waters in the area, this refreshing experience is unparalleled. Unfortunately, we arrived by boat and cannot provide any information about the road leading to the beach.

The beaches in Kefalonia scored a solid 4 out of 10 on my rating scale. The beaches are adorned with big rocks that make it feel like you're walking on a rocky road. The beach entrance is also not the smoothest, with gravel and rocks. And if that wasn't enough to deter you, there's a massive sign that warns about electrical cables lurking under the water - but don't worry, it's only in Greek, so it's not like you'll be able to read it anyway. The water is also not the clearest, which is a shame because who doesn't love a nice, crystal-clear swim? It's almost as if there's an underwater current that's determined to make the water as blurry as possible. All in all, it's not the best place to drop anchor - unless you're into the whole rocky, blurry water, and electric shock thing.

This charming beach is truly a gem! As echoed by others, the journey to get there can be a bit daunting, prompting us to park our car at the peak of a bend in the nearby village and traverse down on foot. The hike took roughly an hour each way, but the breathtaking vistas along the way made it all worthwhile. Upon arrival, we were rewarded with a pristine and secluded beach, which we had all to ourselves. While the shore is composed of pebbles, it's still a must-visit destination - just be sure to bring along some flip flops or rock shoes for added comfort.

The beach is absolutely breathtaking, nestled in a cozy cove with a perfect number of beachgoers. It's definitely worth checking out, as the water is simply stunning.

On the other hand, the drive back up is comparatively pleasant. It's recommended to carry some refreshments as there are limited options available. The beach offers a generous amount of shaded areas to relax under, and it's not too crowded, so you can enjoy the serenity.
