The beaches in Kefalonia scored a solid 4 out of 10 on my rating scale. The beaches are adorned with big rocks that make it feel like you're walking on a rocky road. The beach entrance is also not the smoothest, with gravel and rocks. And if that wasn't enough to deter you, there's a massive sign that warns about electrical cables lurking under the water - but don't worry, it's only in Greek, so it's not like you'll be able to read it anyway.
The water is also not the clearest, which is a shame because who doesn't love a nice, crystal-clear swim? It's almost as if there's an underwater current that's determined to make the water as blurry as possible. All in all, it's not the best place to drop anchor - unless you're into the whole rocky, blurry water, and electric shock thing.
