I was pleased with how conveniently close the beach was to my hotel and the charming old city. The windsurfing facilities were exceptional and added to my overall enjoyment. The beach also boasted a lovely terrace area that made for a perfect spot to relax and take in the picturesque views. I noticed a greater variety of macroinvertebrates and seaweed here than on other more maintained beaches, which made for a unique and interesting experience. I am absolutely enchanted by this beach! As a parent of a 10 and 12-year-old, I found this beach to be the perfect spot for my children. The atmosphere was filled with families and their little ones, all relishing in the sand and the water. Although there is a breeze, it is much gentler than Plaka beach, where the sand was constantly pelting my legs due to the strong gusts. The beach chairs and umbrellas are reasonably priced, and the water in the inlet is shallow, allowing for a fun time in the waves that only reach your knees or thighs for many yards out. The sand is soft and doesn't hurt your feet. As an added bonus, the backdrop of windsurfing is both calming and peaceful to watch. There are many small bars and restaurants available, making it easy to stay all day. I felt that my children were safe in the shallow waters, and they absolutely loved it. I would highly recommend this beach to anyone with children seeking refuge from the winds of the southern beaches. The beach offers free parking, and if I were to return, I would definitely stay at one of the beach hotels.
