Limnionas beach

The beach on Kos Island is a small, cramped area that is only accessible through natural and artificial barriers. The waves can be dangerous due to the northern winds, which is why the walls are necessary for safe swimming. The western side of the beach, which is visible from the road, is a small lagoon that allows some waves to enter. While the scenery is stunning, it is not worth the risk of being swept away by the waves. A visit to this beach is not recommended.

This beach is simply marvelous, boasting soft and powdery sand that invites you to sink your toes in. It's a serene and peaceful spot, perfect for those seeking a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. You'll find plenty of sunbeds to relax on, and when hunger strikes, there's a delightful restaurant nearby to satisfy your cravings. Overall, this beach is a true gem and not to be missed.

Nestled in a charming bay sheltered by rocky formations, this beach boasts stunning scenery that will take your breath away. Despite the open sea being a bit rough during my visit, the water remained calm and inviting. However, the bay is often dotted with algae, making the sea bed feel slimy and uneven underfoot. Although the beach is relatively small, it can still get crowded, especially with the abundance of umbrellas and sun beds available for rent. If you're looking for a quieter spot, there is a secondary cove where you can enjoy the beach freely. Additionally, there is another small cove at the back of the beach, but it is less protected from the open sea and has a rockier bed. A restaurant located by the side of the road offers a dining option, but takeaways are not available if you want to grab a quick bite on the beach.

The shoreline is visually stunning, yet it falls short in comparison to the neighbouring Kohilari beach. The sand in the water was somewhat unpleasant to walk on, as it felt slimy due to the beach being more of a cove with minimal movement. Although there were a few sunbeds available, we didn't spend enough time to utilize them. Our true motive for visiting was the restaurant, which was truly exceptional.

The beach is nothing out of the ordinary, but it boasts beautiful rocks that are constantly being hit by the waves. The bathing area is surrounded by these rocks, creating a serene environment where the water is calm. However, one side of the sea bottom is covered in lush sea grass while the other side is rocky and has a shallow entrance that can be perilous.
