Paralia Aiginitissa

The beach is in a great location and both the water and the surroundings are stunning. However, the food was disappointing and it was the worst culinary experience we've had in Aegina, despite visiting the island for six years and trying various places. We decided to avoid Fyki based on recommendations that it was overpriced. Unfortunately, we ended up paying 25 EUR for one toast, one scrambled eggs, and one white eggs omelette, in addition to 20 EUR for the sunbeds. I wouldn't have minded paying this amount if the food had been at least acceptable, but the eggs had no taste and the toast was inedible. It's a shame to serve such low-quality food in Aegina, considering the high standard of cuisine on the island.

Aegina has limited options for beach bars, so they capitalize on this by charging exorbitant prices. The beach beds near the shoreline, complete with an umbrella, are priced at 30 euros, while each beanbag further back costs 7 pounds. The staff was pleasant and even gave us a discount since there were six of us sitting on beanbags without an umbrella. However, in the end, they overcharged us based on the initial order from the front company. If possible, it would be best to avoid this place. The beach itself is decent, with shallow water and relatively clean conditions.

The beach is small but pleasant, and the water is clean. The staff is friendly, and the food is good, although it is a bit expensive. Perhaps it was because it was Sunday, but paying 7€ for a ladybug without an umbrella seemed a bit much.

The beach wasn't very clean, with plenty of plastic and garbage scattered along the shoreline right next to the beach when we got there. We grabbed a bag and picked up some bottles to dispose of, but we didn't stay long. I honestly can't understand how so many people can overlook the trash all around and still "enjoy" the place.

We stumbled upon a true Mediterranean treasure. On the day of our visit, there happened to be a lively geek music event, and we found ourselves joyfully dancing with unfamiliar faces around the tables. The grilled octopus accompanied by crispy potato chips and eggplant purée, along with the sea bass served with shrimp tartar, were absolute delights. We were so captivated by the experience that we had to order another bottle of wine, as we simply never wanted to depart. The service provided was exceptional, making this spot in Aigina my newfound favorite, despite being a frequent visitor to the island. Truly magnificent!
