Rocher beach

We requested to be seated indoors, but we were informed that it would be crowded (even though there were vacant tables inside). Since it was a cold and windy evening, we asked if we could sit in a corner, hoping to be shielded from the wind. We waited for quite a while for someone to take our order, which was fortunate because we had already decided that we couldn't endure shivering while eating. Eventually, we stood up, informed them of our decision, and departed.

The food was good, although a little expensive and the portions were small. However, the beach had a lovely view of the sea. I ordered the mussels and found them to be one of the better moules marinières I've had in the Vendée, although I prefer the way mussels are prepared in the North. Some of my companions ordered the sea bream and enjoyed the vegetables, but felt that the portion of fish was quite small. The service was friendly, but we had to ask multiple times for the same thing. Additionally, some dishes arrived much later than others. Personally, I don't mind delays as long as the food is good, but it would have been nice if the staff had acknowledged or apologized for the delays. I was surprised to see that they had Corona, a Mexican beer, on tap, but it's hard to find a French lager anywhere these days. In my opinion, a glass of Kronenburg would have been preferable.

My wife and I had a wonderful surprise! We were searching for a restaurant and happened upon this one. I opted for the €25 menu, starting with a delightful warm goat cheese salad and followed by a scrumptious fish & chips. The presentation of the plates was superb and the dishes themselves were outstanding. The added bonus of an outdoor terrace, which overlooks a peaceful street and offers a view of the ocean, made the experience even better. We were so impressed that we returned the next day to indulge in a charcuterie board! Don't hesitate, this restaurant is a true delight for both the senses and the taste buds!

We were on vacation and wanted to have dinner at a restaurant with an ocean view. Luckily, we found one! The view was amazing, just a few meters from the beach. The terrace was small but pleasant. The service was excellent, and the manager took great care of us. And the food, oh my! It was fresh, homemade, and absolutely delicious. We enjoyed it so much that we decided to go back the next day before heading home! The prices were reasonable, the portions were generous, and the presentation was great. The street was very quiet. Everything was fantastic. I wish I lived closer to this restaurant! If you're looking for a great restaurant near the ocean, I highly recommend this one!

The restaurant was excellent and had options for all budgets. We opted for the 25€ menus and the children's menu. There is nothing to complain about, except that the food was delicious. Furthermore, the waitress and bartender provided a warm and top-notch service. The young and dynamic team deserves congratulations! 😁👍
