Before making our reservation, I attempted to reach out to the property with some inquiries. Unfortunately, I did not receive a response via email or WhatsApp. We ultimately booked a 5-day stay through Booking and made our payment directly. Later that same day, I received an email from the property via Booking's system, offering to cancel our reservation free of charge. Despite not requesting a cancellation, we were bombarded with numerous WhatsApp messages urging us to cancel our booking due to the unavailability of the apartment. The tone of these messages was rather unpleasant. Since we had already arranged our flights immediately after booking at Marea Resort, we opted not to cancel as finding alternative accommodations during the busy summer season in Corsica with a 6-year-old proved to be quite challenging. Booking is currently working on finding a resolution to this issue. It is evident that the staff at Marea Resort lack concern for their (potential) guests and engage in deceptive practices. Furthermore, communication with them is nearly impossible. While the property itself appears to be lovely, the management should be ashamed of their behavior.
