White River beach

The view from the drive past the beach is absolutely stunning, but it's important to note that the road leading there is quite rough and bumpy. However, we were able to make the journey in our WV Golf without any issues. It's no surprise that there are plenty of rental cars making the trip, as the beach is definitely worth the effort.

This serene beach is a true gem nestled in a tranquil location. It's a delight to find free parking nearby and stroll down to the shore. The beach boasts a charming mix of sand and smooth pebbles, which is a refreshing change from other crowded beaches. While there may not be many sun loungers, it's a small price to pay for the peace and quiet. However, do keep in mind that shade is scarce. The water was perfect for a refreshing swim during our visit.

This is a lovely beach that's far from the busy hotels and offers a peaceful atmosphere in July. To get there, you can take a dirt track to an unofficial car park and walk for about five minutes to reach the beach. Alternatively, there is a private road with a gate that leads directly to the beach, but it costs 5 euros to park there. We opted to walk instead. Although the beach is rocky, the small stones are smooth from the waves and won't hurt your feet. The water can be choppy at times, but it's still a great place to go for a swim. Plus, the beach is clean and well-maintained.

This beach is an absolute must-see! The view is simply breathtaking and the journey down to the shore is a bit more exciting than your average drive. Once you've parked at the top, the scramble down is a breeze. As you make your way down, you'll spot some goats perched up high alongside the cliffs, their bells ringing in the distance. And don't forget to come back for the fish BBQ - it's a must-try!

This beach is a real treat for those who love to explore the underwater world. It's perfect for snorkeling and for those who can handle the strong currents. However, getting there can be a bit of a challenge as you'll need to scramble down from the car park. Alternatively, you can cough up 5€ and drive down a dirt path directly to the beach. The sound of jingling goats nearby adds to the charm of this place. The beach is made up of igneous rock and pebbles, but it's still a lovely cove to relax in. The marine life here is abundant, with fish and urchins aplenty. So, if you're up for an adventure and don't mind a bit of a trek, this beach is definitely worth a visit.
