This beach has some strong waves, but the lifeguard is excellent and constantly rescuing swimmers. Despite that, we still had a great time and the beach itself is stunning.
This secluded beach is a hidden gem, teeming with an abundance of marine life. The rocky cliffs provide a safe haven for young children to play, while the crystal-clear waters offer a refreshing escape from the summer heat. If you're lucky enough to snag a spot on the street, parking is free, but meters are available along the main road. Overall, it's a stunning spot that's well worth a visit. Plus, for added peace of mind, a lifeguard station is conveniently located on the northern end of the beach.
This beach is a hidden gem, offering a private and intimate setting with stunning views of the ocean and cliffs. Descend the "secret staircase" and be captivated by the picturesque glimpse of the beach below. Whenever I want to escape the crowds at the popular beaches in Laguna Beach, I love coming here. It's conveniently located right next to Diver's Cove and Heisler Park, just a short walk away. This little cove is secluded, peaceful, and usually devoid of beachgoers, with only a few exceptions. Moreover, the waves are gentle enough for comfortable floating and swimming. And don't forget to explore the tide pools beyond the gazebo on the cliff!
This particular section of Sunset Beach is situated in the Sunset Beach Community of 90742, which was once a part of unincorporated Orange County but has since been incorporated into Huntington Beach for over a decade now. The beach itself is a constant source of beauty, boasting pristine sand and stunning vistas of the ocean, Palos Verdes Peninsula, LA, and Long Beach Harbors, as well as the landmark buildings of Long Beach. While weekdays offer a tranquil escape, weekends can be a bit more crowded, as expected. As this is a residential beach area, it's important to be mindful of the locals' concerns. Thankfully, the community is generous enough to offer free parking along the North and South Pacific Av median, located just a block from the beach. It's worth noting that visitors are welcome to walk their dogs here, which is especially helpful for those who want to catch a glimpse of the sunset but can't bring their furry friends onto the beach. Finally, for those who need to freshen up, public restrooms can be found at the Pacific Av median, as well as at 14th and 19th Streets. All in all, this beach offers a serene and picturesque retreat for anyone seeking a bit of natural beauty and relaxation.
This exquisite beach is a true gem, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the crowds. It's a perfect spot for those seeking tranquility and serenity, where the sound of the waves and the gentle breeze are the only companions. A must-visit for those who appreciate the beauty of nature in its purest form.
