This beach is perfect for families with plenty of shops, food options, and restrooms. The car park is just a quick walk away from the beach. We stayed until sunset and it was a truly breathtaking experience.
This beach is truly remarkable. We've been here a few times, both on our own and with the grandchildren. There are some incredible caves to explore, and the kids had a blast playing in the sand dunes and the river when the tide was out. It's a bit of a trek from the car park, but it's definitely worth it.
This is our go-to beach! The sand is clean and well-maintained. It's perfect for exploring caves, rock pools, or taking a dip in the crystal-clear water. Plus, there are plenty of fantastic bars, restaurants, and shops nearby, and ample parking available.
We spent four nights in town and every evening we would take a short walk to the beach from our BnB and restaurants. It was a lively place, with people of all ages enjoying the sun, the views, and the water. Everyone seemed to be in a good mood. It was a fantastic spot and watching the sunset was simply breathtaking. Although it could get quite cool once the sun had gone down, even in summer. The beach was very clean and wide, with plenty of space for everyone to BBQ, play, relax, and walk their dogs. The water was cold and the waves could be quite rough, but we weren't planning on swimming anyway. To get even better views, you could take the small trail on the eastern side of the beach. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the beach was dog-friendly in the evenings all year round. Our Bulldog loved it as much as we did. The Blue Bar at the beach was a great spot for dinner in town and we really enjoyed it. There was a large parking lot at the beach, but it was full on the weekend. This beach in a lovely small town was really great and we loved it.
The Cove is stunning and a well-liked destination for both locals and tourists. The ocean is crystal clear, and it's delightful to witness the numerous vacationers relishing this breathtaking beach.
This coastline is a must-visit for beach lovers. However, parking can be a bit of a challenge, so plan accordingly and check the tides before you go. Don't miss out on trying the local delicacy - hedgehog ice cream - which features a delightful blend of creamy goodness and crunchy hazelnuts. Plus, National Trust members can enjoy the added bonus of free parking.
