This stunning beach has a plethora of walking paths that lead to different areas, all easily accessible by multiple roads. Unlike other beaches in the vicinity, this one has a more gradual slope, making it easier to navigate. However, as is common with many beaches in Portugal, furry friends are not permitted.
This beach is truly breathtaking, with stunning rock formations, crystal clear water perfect for an array of water sports, and exhilarating waves. The slight breeze that sweeps across the beach is invigorating and adds to the overall experience. There are several charming bars and cafes in the vicinity, as well as comfortable accommodations. The sound of the waves crashing on the shore is both calming and powerful. Keep in mind that due to the wind, the temperature may be a bit cooler than other beaches. Nevertheless, the beach offers an unparalleled view of the sunset over the vast ocean, making it a must-visit destination.
Magnificent beach that takes your breath away, leaving you in awe of its natural beauty. After an hour's ride through the forest, the anticipation builds as you wonder what awaits you. We arrived at the beginning of July on a windy, sunny afternoon, and although the water was chilly, it was refreshing. The sunset was breathtaking, a sight to behold. The beach offers ample parking, and for those looking for a culinary experience, the highly rated Restaurante da Adraga is a must-visit. Adjacent to this beach lies another secluded beach, easily accessible and perfect for those seeking a little more privacy.
What a charming destination! Although the journey from the parking lot requires a 20-minute descent, some areas may be slick and require the use of your hands for balance. However, along the way, there are some breathtaking viewpoints of Cabo da Roca, the beach itself, and its towering cliffs. We took our 5-year-old daughter on the trail without any issues, but if you have a stroller, it's best to avoid it. The beach is quite spacious and, thanks to the walk, is not overly crowded. We were impressed by the visitors with surfboards and large sunshades - they deserve a round of applause! In addition to the beach, you may also take a brief stroll to discover the hidden bay or scale the cliffs. There is also shade available near the cliffs. Although the uphill trek can be strenuous, it is somehow easier than the descent. We spent approximately 3 to 4 hours at the beach, savoring every moment. Lastly, pamper yourself and avoid wearing flip-flops on your journey there!
This beach is well-maintained and offers various amenities and surf shops. It's a great spot for beginner surfers. Additionally, there are plenty of parking spots available. The restaurants in the area are generally good.
This beach is great for dog owners and the locals are very welcoming. The water can be chilly, but the river running alongside the beach provides warmer water. Unfortunately, there is a lot of litter that washes up on the shore and it seems like people don't make an effort to clean up after themselves. I try to do my part by picking up plastic every day, but it's disappointing that more people don't use the recycling bins and dispose of their trash properly. It would be great if we all worked together to make this beach a cleaner and more enjoyable place for everyone.
