The overall day out was a bit disappointing. The beach itself was beautiful, clean, and peaceful. It seemed like there were lifeguard stations available during the main season. However, we were unable to find any open toilet blocks or places to grab a coffee or a bite to eat. It seemed like everything was closed during the off-season. Most of the chalets, which were originally on stilts, were now built underneath, although we did come across a few that were still on stilts. Unfortunately, the motorhome aire was closed, so we had to walk from Gruissan Port because all the car parks had height restrictions that prevented us from visiting in our vehicle. The majority of the roads were too narrow for larger vehicles to safely navigate alongside other traffic. On our way back, we discovered a bus stop and a wide road where we could have parked on the opposite side of the island if we had done some more research beforehand. Unless we were fortunate enough to secure an overnight spot at the motorhome aire, we would not choose to visit again, even during the high season.
