We had a great experience at the Bajada. The staff provided a warm welcome, and some of the rooms were excellent.
I would advise avoiding this destination! I visited in November and unfortunately, there were no diving opportunities available. The food was extremely disappointing and I encountered some questionable practices. It's worth mentioning that everything was priced in Peso, however, the only accepted payment methods were Euros or dollars, with an unfair exchange rate of 24, whereas the usual rate is 120.
I shelled out a cool 20 bucks for a ride on a truck full of strangers to reach this sandy paradise from Vinales. And let me tell you, it was worth every penny. If you're feeling adventurous, I highly suggest you splurge on the snorkeling package for an additional 20 bucks. Not only will you get to explore the underwater world, but you'll also get to visit the Starfish Beach. Trust me, it's a sight to behold.
This stunning location is situated at the very edge of the land, where the winds can be quite strong, so it's wise to exercise caution. Here, you'll be greeted by the sight of crystal-clear turquoise waters and pristine white sandy beaches. As you explore the area, you'll come across clusters of fishing nets, adding to the charm of the place. To access this hidden gem, you can either take a boat or venture through the lush forest. If you choose the latter, you'll discover secluded spots where you can take a dip and find shelter from the winds.
