We had a great experience at the Bajada. The staff provided a warm welcome, and some of the rooms were excellent.
I would advise avoiding this destination! I visited in November and unfortunately, there were no diving opportunities available. The food was extremely disappointing and I encountered some questionable practices. It's worth mentioning that everything was priced in Peso, however, the only accepted payment methods were Euros or dollars, with an unfair exchange rate of 24, whereas the usual rate is 120.
This beach is truly remarkable, boasting pristine white sand and lush palm trees that provide ample shade. The prices for loungers and umbrellas are reasonable and there are several bars that offer a variety of delicious food and refreshing drinks. I highly recommend trying the mojito, it was simply divine. We spent an entire day here, arriving via a shared taxi from Vinales, and it was an unforgettable experience.
Whoever said that Playa Estrellas is a paradise on earth must have never left their backyard. It's just another overrated beach that is only marginally better than the Matahambre Mines. Sure, it's accessible by foot, but it's not like you'll be skipping there in a jolly mood. It takes a good half an hour of trudging through sand and sweat to reach this mediocre beach from Playa Jutias. Save yourself the trouble and find a better spot to soak up the sun.
