The park is stunning and the beach is lovely with a wide shallow area. There are lifeguards and restrooms available, although there are no showers or changing rooms, which is why I gave it 4 stars. The park has plenty of trees and playgrounds suitable for all ages. There is ample parking space for cars and it is conveniently located within a reasonable walking distance to transportation.
The Marmara Sea boasts a lovely beach that is under the care of the Istanbul Municipality Administration. The amenities provided are satisfactory, and the beach is kept clean. The sandy shoreline is adorned with charming wooden umbrellas, providing ample shade for visitors. A great restaurant is available for those who want to indulge in delicious meals. The beach is conveniently located near the Florya Aquarium and Florya Mall. Compared to private beaches, the entrance fee is quite reasonable. I recently visited the beach and paid 30 Turkish lira for an adult entry using my Istanbul Card. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience, but the only downside was that the water wasn't very clean. However, the lifeguard was vigilant and created a safe environment.
The coastline is absolutely stunning, adorned with an array of charming cafes, restaurants, kiosks and shops. It's a serene and peaceful place, particularly at night, and doesn't tend to get too overcrowded. However, at present, it's undergoing some renovation work, so it may be disappointing for those hoping to visit. Nonetheless, once the refurbishment is complete, I'm certain it will be restored to its former glory. (Photos taken in 2019)
The beach was absolutely repulsive. Families would spend the entire day there, leaving their trash behind, which would then be blown by the wind straight into the sea. I felt as though everyone was staring at me judgmentally because of my choice of swimsuit. The water was extremely dirty, with algae near the shore and half-eaten corn cobs floating around. The women's restrooms were reminiscent of a container filled with the scent of urine. When you're sunbathing and minding your own business, be prepared for someone to constantly pass by within inches of you. The police were checking documents every hour. We only went to this beach because all the others were either full or closed, and it will definitely be our last time.
This beach is a great spot for both morning and evening walks, as well as picnics. Many people come here for a day out and the place has all the necessary facilities, including a restaurant, department store, restrooms, and stunning views. I highly recommend a visit to this place. If you have the time, I suggest driving through the entire area, as it is truly breathtaking.
