This spot is a great for snorkeling as it is not too deep, and there are plenty of fish to discover in the deeper areas. Plus, its brown sand is a nice bonus!
This small cove is tucked away behind some apartments, and during the summer months a beach bar called the cherenguito can be found there. In the evenings, music may be playing. For those looking for a different experience, the Jet Set bar is located up above the entrance on the road, and is easily accessible.
This location , tucked away between towering cliffs, is a short train ride away from Alicante, and easy to find with Google Maps. The sand is a mix of both sand and stones, so it's best to wear sandals, but it's also comfortable to go without. As the cliffs surround the beach, it gets a bit darker earlier than usual when the sun sets.
We dropped in for lunch and enjoyed an excellent seafood paella. Although we hadn't made a reservation, it wasn't an issue, and the service was also good. Contrary to some previous comments, we didn't encounter any problems, but we were the first ones in the restaurant.
That place is partially untouched and has been mistreated by visitors, despite attempts to keep it safe from overdevelopment. There are beautiful areas, but unfortunately they are littered with trash left behind by people who come to enjoy the coves. Sadly, there has been very little effort from the authorities to protect this area. It's a real shame. On top of that, it's easily accessible, making it even more of a shame.
