This beach in Ithaca is definitely one of the best. The manager is incredibly friendly and outgoing, making for a welcoming atmosphere. The prices for sunbeds, umbrellas, canoes, and sup are reasonable. The water is crystal clear and the scenery is breathtaking.
The petite beach is often bustling with people, but not as crowded as its neighboring Emplisi. It's perfect for a refreshing swim, as the water is tranquil. However, despite its picturesque appearance, it's not the ideal spot for snorkeling. You may be tempted to explore the underwater world, but it's not worth it. Nonetheless, a short stroll to the nearby cave is a must. Seeking refuge from the sun is possible under the trees, but it's a matter of luck to snag a shaded spot with seating. Unfortunately, parking can be challenging, as it's typically on the roadside.
We were quite disappointed with this beach. We went there last week and the water was really dirty, as you can clearly see in the pictures. On top of that, they were charging 15 euros for sun beds and umbrellas, which, in my opinion, does not match the quality of the beach facilities at all. Kefalonia has so many amazing beaches with breathtaking natural beauty to choose from, but unfortunately, this one is at the bottom of my list.
The beach is a splendid destination that boasts an enchanting ambiance, making it an ideal spot for relaxation and rejuvenation. The quaint and charming port and town add to the overall appeal of the place, providing a cozy and intimate setting that is perfect for unwinding. Overall, this is a must-visit location that is sure to leave you feeling refreshed and invigorated.
