The bathing area is actually quite nice, especially with the addition of a new jetty this year. The playground is also very pleasant. There are plenty of parking spaces available as well. However, there is a downside due to the geese issue. Goose droppings are scattered everywhere, making it difficult to lay out a blanket and enjoy the meadow comfortably. Walking barefoot across the meadow is out of the question.

On sunny days, the bustling beach attracts a crowd. A spacious and complimentary parking lot is conveniently located nearby. The beach is bordered by a delightful blooming promenade and park. The water is calm and shallow in the designated swimming area, with the temperature surprisingly warm. Beware of the hovering seagulls, feeding them is prohibited and can result in a hefty fine of up to €1000. The Schilksee Olympic Harbour, a forest of masts, is situated at the end of the beach.

This beach is just like any other overrated tourist trap. Sure, it may look pretty with its pristine sands and crystal clear waters, but don't be fooled by the facade. You'll have to shell out some cash just to step foot on the sand and dip your toes in the water. And while it may be clean, it's not like you're the only one enjoying it. You'll be packed in like sardines with all the other suckers who fell for the same marketing ploy. So yeah, it's a lovely place for a swim...if you're into that kind of thing.

I highly recommend taking a stroll along the Kiel beaches, passing by the Bülk lighthouse and the Stohl cliffs, and ending at the Schilksee lido. The beach boasts light sand with pebbles, making it a unique and enjoyable experience.
