This beach is great for snorkeling with its clear and beautiful water. Whenever we're in the area for a vacation, we make sure to pay a visit. 🌞🌞
The beach is all natural and the water is pleasantly calm. There are a few naturists on the quieter end of Vias, which is a perfect spot for them.
We visited the naturist section of the beach (on the right) and found it to be quite peaceful and lovely overall. It was also conveniently accessible from the parking area. On our first day, we had a delightful time building sand castles and creating animal shapes, making it a wonderful day. However, on our second day, we were extremely disgusted and annoyed to witness a couple engaging in very questionable and intimate behavior right next to us, without any attempt to conceal it. We were not impressed at all. They only stopped when a family approached, but due to our limited knowledge of French laws, etiquette, and language, we chose to ignore what we believed was happening and decided to leave. It seemed like they might have been exhibitionists. My friend and I have been unable to come up with a reasonable explanation as to why a man would need to have his hand between his female friend's buttocks or thighs, especially in a public place that is supposed to be family-friendly. I am completely comfortable with nudity, but this kind of behavior is why I can understand why nudist beaches sometimes have a negative reputation, and it may also explain why we were among the youngest visitors there. 🤢🤢
The beach is quite enjoyable, especially if you head to the east side near the lifeguard station. It's a better spot for swimming since there's less algae and annoying shells compared to the west side. Additionally, you can find convenient amenities like outdoor showers, parking, and charming seaside restaurants in that area. During the summer, you can easily access the beach through bus line 11.
The beach was absolutely stunning, with soft, powdery sand that was a pleasure to walk on. We went at the start of the season, so it wasn't crowded at all, as you can see from the photos. The area we went to was a bit further from the town's main strip, but it was only a 15-minute walk from our campsite, L'Air Marin. We stopped by La Plage du Delta, a beach bar that was clean and had a great atmosphere. Although they serve food, we didn't try any. The restroom facilities were also very clean.
