The service was excellent, the prices were reasonable, and they offered a wide range of food and drinks. Guaimum is a perfect 10!
The beach is quite basic compared to others I've visited. It's a decent spot to unwind for a few hours, but unfortunately, swimming is not recommended due to pollution. Additionally, the sand has been littered with trash and organic debris lately.
To reach Praia de Palva, also known as Segredo, one must take a trail starting from Jeribucaçu and pass through Praia dos Corais. In Arruda, you can either follow the rocks on the edge or take a right towards the lagoon at the top of the hill. The trail is peaceful and serene. The beach is well-maintained and definitely worth visiting.
The hostel is located right on the beach and there are some great tents just a short walk away. The rooms are clean and the surroundings are pleasant. The breakfast is also pretty cool.
During our five-day stay in Itacaré, my husband and I made it a daily routine to take a morning stroll to this exquisite beach. We were always fascinated by the innovative weight gym that was constructed using metal bars, concrete, and recycled materials. We would stop by to do some weightlifting exercises before continuing our walk. The beach was bustling with people participating in various sports activities, and the sight of the colorful boats added to the charm of the city. It was a treat to watch the lively atmosphere of the beach while enjoying the refreshing morning breeze.
