Praia Ponta da Fruta

This beach had all the makings of a paradise - the sun, the sand, and the sea. However, my experience at Ponta da Fruta beach was marred by the constant stench of sewage that permeated the air. It was disheartening to see that the restaurants and houses along the beach were responsible for dumping waste onto the beach and into the sea. Despite the two distinct areas of the beach - one with rough waters and the other with calm waters - it was difficult to enjoy the shallow part meant for children and non-swimmers due to the high concentration of sewage waste. I only visited this beach once and was hesitant to let my daughter play in the water. It's a shame that such a beautiful location is being ruined by human negligence.

This beach is truly a marvel! It offers a welcoming atmosphere for families and boasts an array of fantastic kiosks that are sure to satisfy any craving. The natural beauty of the surroundings is breathtaking and the overall ambiance is simply delightful. This is definitely a beach worth visiting!

Ponta de Fruta beach boasts a unique natural beauty that sets it apart from the bustling Vila Velha beachfront. Its tranquil and shallow waters make it an ideal spot for families with young children. However, this popularity can lead to overcrowding on weekends, with some bathers showing little regard for others. The beach is also home to some excellent restaurants that serve the traditional capixaba moqueca. On weekdays, the beach is a peaceful haven, with plenty of space to enjoy. I even managed to bring my furry friend along one day and enjoyed a stunning view of the beach from the nearby rock formations.

This overhyped beach may seem picturesque and tranquil, but don't be fooled by its superficial charm. While it may be easy to get swept up in the romanticized descriptions, the reality is far from idyllic. The sand is gritty and uncomfortable, the water is murky and polluted, and the crowds of tourists are suffocating. Sure, there may be a few moments of respite from the chaos, but they are fleeting and quickly overshadowed by the overwhelming sense of disappointment. Save yourself the trouble and skip this overrated destination.
